The Tango Social Club of Canberra is an independent, non-profit incorporated organisation seeking to encourage Argentine tango in and around Canberra.  Club members contribute their time and expertise on a voluntary basis, without which we would not exist.

We run milongas and other social tango events, practicas, workshops and support teachers, DJs and dancers with their involvement in tango.  If you are new to tango and live in Canberra, you have come to the right place. Check out places to learn, info on our practicas, come along to a milonga or contact us for more information.

We have about 130 members and anyone is welcome to join.  People of any age can dance tango, our members range in age from their 20s to their 70s, and you don't need a partner to participate.  Our Club focuses on bringing people together to enjoy a common pursuit regardless of background or experience.

Committee

The Club is managed by a committee of up to 9 members elected at our Annual General Meeting.  The committee meets about every 6 weeks.  Members are encouraged to propose ideas to the committee, volunteer their services and provide feedback.
